SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM COMING TO MADISON COUNTY!
Community Action Partnership is pleased to announce they will be sponsoring the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) for Madison County students beginning on Monday, July 7th to be held through August 15th, at the American Legion pavilion on Main St in Oneida. The Summer Food Service Program is designed to provide free summer lunches to low-income children under 18 (and young adults with a disability to age 21 and under) that receive free and reduced-price school meals during the school year, but lose access to these meals when the school year ends.
We are pleased also to partner with Karing Kitchen and the Oneida Council of Churches, and to be able to provide the parents who come to attend with their child, a lunch meal as well. It is advised that an adult or guardian accompany younger children to the lunch site, as childcare is not provided. Meals are not allowed to be taken off site. Every day, the lunch will consist of milk, fruit or vegetable, grain and a protein. We also have a special plan for every Fabulous Friday! Don’t miss it! School is out, Summer Meals are in!
