The art of mothering often goes unnoticed. Each
Mother’s Day, we have a chance to honor our mothers and caregivers to let them know we notice all they do for us with messages of thanks and gratitude for the love and support that helped us become who we are today.

This year, Community Action Partnership (CAP) invites you to honor your loved ones by passing on the hope and support they have given you through our 18th annual Mother’s Day Appeal!

Too often families become unstable due to economic and disruptive situations—lack of gainful employment, disabilities and illness, mental health difficulties—all impacting resources to overcome life challenges.  That’s where CAP comes in.

CAP works with families to become resilient so they can bounce back from these setback by providing opportunities for individuals and families to realize their strengths, make good choices, and become self sufficient.  It is a place where people in need are listened to and given an opportunity to help themselves find short-term relief and support for long-term stability.  Whenever you give a gift to CAP, you give a gift of hope to a local family in need of your caring support.

This year we are offering a special Mother’s Day necklace made by moms in our newly formed Moms group. This social group meets monthly to provide educational and recreational activities for mothers who can benefit from time to reflect and learn some parenting hints, socialize and share information.  The necklace with a simple tree of life charm is symbolic of the strong roots mothers nourish from the start. Our moms and caregivers are the solid trunk of life that allow us to grow and thrive. Your donation will ensure that mothers in need in our community have the support they need to provide strong and resilient roots for their family.

Here is what your generosity can do:
  • $30 can help 3 local moms to attend a parenting workshop available throughout the community.
  • $60 can provide one month of home visiting and educational services to a new mom.
  • $120 can provide a week of food and budgeting services for a family of four.
  • $240 can help a struggling household maintain their heating utilities during the winter.
We invite you to make a gift in honor or memory of your mom or caregiver who is important in your life or the lives of others. You will be giving the gift of hope!

Make a safe and secure gift online or mail your donation to:
PO Box 249

Please note the mom and her address you would like the acknowledgement sent to and if you would like a tree of life charm included. Supplies are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Thank you for your continued support!
