Employee Benefits

Community Action Partnership is committed to providing a comprehensive package of insurance coverage and financial security for employees and their families. We also offer generous time off policies so that employees may maximize the time spent with their own families. The following benefits are currently offered to full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week:

Health Insurance
- Regular full-time employees and part-time employees, working at least twenty (20) hours per week, are eligible to participate in CAP’s group health insurance plan. Coverage is effective on the first of the month following the date of employment. The agency picks up 80% of an individual, individual + spouse, individual + child(ren), or individual + spouse + child(ren) plan. The agency also reimburses 80% of the individual and family deductibles through a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA).
Dental Insurance - Regular full-time and part-time employees, working at least twenty (20) hours per week, are provided the opportunity to enroll in the dental plan. Coverage is effective on the first of the month following the date of employment. Premium benefits are paid by the employee at reduced group rates.
Supplemental Insurances – Short-term disability, cancer, accident, hospitalization, and personal sickness policies are offered at reduced group rates.
Group Term Life Insurance - A group term life insurance policy payable at one times the employee’s annual salary in the event of his/her death while employed at CAP. The cost for group term life insurance policies are funded fully by Community Action Partnership.
Voluntary Term Life Insurance - The employee may elect additional life insurance coverage for themselves, their spouse and their children while employed at CAP.  The cost for voluntary term life insurance is funded fully by the employee.

Employees can elect to pay for their portion of insurance premiums with pre-tax dollars.

After one year of continuous service, CAP will contribute a percentage of the employee’s salary to their account. This is not a matching plan; however the employee may contribute according to federal guidelines immediately upon hire. Deductions may be made on a pre-tax basis. Employees must work at least 20 hours/week to be eligible for employer contributions.

The EAP provides employees and family members access to professional counselors who can assist with personal and family issues and challenges.

The agency sponsors a program that maximizes employee involvement in a comprehensive wellness and fitness program. A wellness benefit reimbursement for eligible expenses towards a fitness initiative is provided to all employees once a year.

Earned Time Off - Employees accrue 13 days of ETO in their first year of employment and continue to accrue time to a maximum of 24 days during the seventh year and all subsequent years of employment. Employees are eligible for 3 days of ETO immediately upon hire with the remainder earned on an accrual basis.
Sick Time - Employees accrue one day per month of sick leave to a maximum of 60 days.
Holidays - The agency observes the 11 federal holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving and day after, and Christmas Day.
Bereavement Leave - Employees are granted up to three days of bereavement in the unfortunate death of an immediate family member.
